Chinese salt can trigger allergies



By stating that Chinese salt will cause many health problems in the short and long term, Dietician Dr. Gamze Şanlı Ak said, “MSG is a toxic substance especially for the nervous system. It can trigger allergies, cause eye damage, and speed up insulin resistance."

Experts warn that the Chinese salt, whose real name is 'Mono Sodium Glutamate' (MSG), should not be used because it has a negative effect on the human body. It is stated that attention should be paid to the use of Chinese salt as it causes many diseases.

By giving information about the harm of Chinese salt, which caused many diseases, especially obesity, Dietician Dr. Gamze Şanlı Ak said, “Chinese salt, also known as 'Mono Sodium Glutamate' (MSG), is a flavoring food additive. Food manufacturers are using MSG to flavor food with the code E-621. Studies have found that MSG suppresses the feeling of satiety and causes more eating, and those who consume food containing MSG become hungry in a shorter time. For this reason, producers and sellers use Chinese salt for more consumption. In a way, it makes addicted to the food added. For this reason, we can accept it as one of the factors that play a role in the increase of obesity.”

SHORT AND LONG TERM EFFECTS

By telling that it will cause many health problems in the short and long term, Dietician Dr. Gamze Şanlı Ak from Nişantaşı University said, “MSG is a toxic substance especially for the nervous system. It accelerates insulin resistance, which can trigger allergies, cause eye damage. Long-term consumption may cause Alzheimer's, Parkinson, diabetes, hypertension, burnout damage, nausea, palpitations, shortness of breath, burns on the face, neck, and arms, and epileptic seizures.”.

“STAY AWAY FROM PACKAGED FOOD”

By stating that there is Chinese salt in ready-made meatballs, broth tablets, instant soups, chips, crackers, salami, sausages and even baby food. Dietician Dr. Gamze Şanlı Ak said, “According to the regulation, it can be used within the limits of all foodstuffs except honey, butter and sugar. In order to protect from MSG, it is necessary to stay away from packaged ready foods and label information should be read while buying these foods.”
