2025 Project Year Erasmus Staff Training and Staff Teaching Mobility Applications Extended

Within the scope of the project numbered 2025-1-TR01-KA131-HED-000307916, staff Erasmus Staff Training and Staff Teaching Mobility applications will be accepted ONLINE via turnaportal.ua.gov.tr until 13 March 2026.

In accordance with the ERASMUS KEY ACTION 1: LEARNING MOBILITY OF INDIVIDUALS – Student and Staff Mobility in Higher Education with Programme Countries and Partner Countries, KA-131 Handbook for Higher Education Institutions (2025 Contract Period), up to 20% of the total staff budget may be used for international mobility.

When applying for Erasmus Staff Teaching Mobility and Staff Training Mobility, it is mandatory to slct 5 universities from our list of partner universities.

For teaching mobility, applicants must slct institutions only among those that have agreements with their department.

Who Can Apply?

Staff who wish to benefit from staff training mobility must be actively working at our university either on a full-time or part-time basis. There is no requirement regarding permanent staff positions; any staff member who has an employment contract with our university may benefit from the mobility. Staff whose current position is at another institution but who work at our university under contract must apply for the mobility through the institution whr they are actively employed, not the institution whr their permanent staff position is located.

Important Note: Academic staff who are required to teach at our university must apply only for Erasmus Staff Teaching Mobility. Research Assistants who do not have teaching obligations may apply for Erasmus Staff Training Mobility together with administrative staff, provided that they obtain approval from the Rectorate.

How to Apply?

Staff members must submit their applications through the application portal (https://turnaportal.ua.gov.tr/) by logging in via the e-Devlet platform and slcting the relevant announcement.

Required Documents for Application:

  • English language proficiency exam result (or a document proving an equivalent score).
    Note: For administrative staff, a language score is not mandatory; however, in accordance with the Erasmus Implementation Handbook, applicants who do have a language score will still be evaluated based on 50% of their score.
  • A copy of the agreement or email confirmation if a new inter-institutional agreement has been established within the last year.
  • A document proving the applicant is a relative of a martyr/veteran or a veteran, if applicable.

Application Requirements for Staff Mobility:

  1. Being academic or administrative staff at Istanbul Nişantaşı University.
  2. For teaching mobility, obtaining a minimum score of 70.0 on the Foreign Language Proficiency Exam (YDS, YÖKDİL) or an equivalent score from an exam recognized by ÖSYM (TOEFL, PTE, etc.).

Staff who have completed a master’s or doctoral degree in countries whr English is the official language, as well as citizens of such countries, are considered to have an equivalent score of YDS 80.

Note: Staff may choose countries based on their language proficiency scores as indicated in the table below. Any preferences that do not comply with this rule will be considered invalid.

If no applicants are slcted from a faculty or if there are no eligible candidates on that faculty’s reserve list, the quota of the relevant faculty will be transferred to the next person on the university-wide reserve list, starting from the highest score to the lowest.

Staff members on the reserve list may participate in the mobility without a grant, provided that they receive approval from the Rectorate.

Additional Grant for Staff with Disabilities:

Participants with disabilities who take part in the Erasmus program may receive an additional grant (with required documentation) to support their special needs, in addition to the standard grant they receive. Staff members who carry out mobility activities exceeding one week may receive partial funding.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

The closing date of the 2025 Project is 31/07/2027. Within this scope, to ensure efficient and effective use of the grant, staff members who are entitled to carry out mobility are expected to complete their mobilities by 31.01.2027.

Staff who do not initiate their mobility processes by this date will have their grant entitlement transferred to the next person on the reserve list.
