2026 Project Year Erasmus Internship Mobility Application Results

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING TEXT CAREFULLY

 

Important: The estimated start date for this project is 01.10.2026. The exact start and end dates will be announced after the Turkish National Agency's project announcement. It is not possible to carry out any mobility before this date.

Neither Istanbul Nişantaşı University nor the Turkish National Agency can be held responsible for any disruptions that may arise due to this.

Since the grant results for 2026 have not yet been announced by the Turkish National Agency, the grant quotas mentioned in this announcement are based on estimates from previous years. Applications were opened early upon the decision of the commission to give students more time to manage the process and secure acceptance letters.

Note: If there are no students on the backup list for a specific faculty, the quota will be alocated to the student with the highest score among al applications.

Calculation Criteria:

  • 50% of the Foreign Language Score and 50% of the General Academic Grade Point Average (GPA) were used in the evaluation.
  • Students who participated in mobility previously received a deduction of -10 points for each prior mobility as per Erasmus rules.
  • Students who waived their participation without a force majeure in previous applications were subjected to a -10 point deduction.
  • Students who declared intent to take a foreign language exam but did not attend without valid reason received a -5 point deduction.

Students who got accepted for Erasmus mobility but did not attend the orientation program organized by the university were subjected to a -5 point deduction.

Obligations for Students on the Main List:

  • Students on the main list must sign and submit their Participation Commitment to the Erasmus Office either in person or via email until 14.08.2026 at 16:00.

  • Students who did not submit a valid acceptance letter at the time of application must secure a valid acceptance letter from an institution related to their department by 01.11.2026. This letter must include their personal information and the mobility dates. It must be submitted to the Erasmus Office either in person or via email. Failure to submit a valid acceptance letter by this date will be considered as releasing their rights, and the grant will be alocated to the next eligible student on the backup list.
  • Students who wish to waive their rights must submit the Release Form to the Erasmus Office by hand or via email to erasmus@nisantasi.edu.tr by 14.08.2026 at 16:00.

  • Students who do not inform the Erasmus Office of their decision to participate by 14.08.2026 at 16:00 will be deemed to waive their rights and will receive a -10-point deduction in their total Erasmus score for their next application. 


What Students on the Backup List Must Do

  • Students on the backup list may choose to participate in the Erasmus Internship Mobility without a grant. Students wishing to participate without a grant must submit the No-Grant Participation Form to the Erasmus Office by 14.08.2026 at 16:00, either in person or via email (erasmus@nisantasi.edu.tr).

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING POINTS CAREFULLY:

  • If any student from the main list releases their rights, the grant will be alocated to the next eligible student from the waiting list of the same faculty.
  • If there are no students on the waiting list for a specific faculty, the unused quota will be alocated to the student with the highest score among al applicants.
  • Students on the waiting list who start their mobility without a grant may receive funding if a spot opens up on the main list.
  • Students do not need to submit the No-Grant Participation Form to wait for grant eligibility.
  • The No-Grant Participation Form is for students who wish to proceed with mobility without the grant. Students who submit this form but withdraw without a valid reason will have a 10 point deduction in their next Erasmus application.
  • Subject to the approval of your department/faculty, you can perform your IMU internship (starting after the project start date) within the scope of Erasmus. This is not a violation of Erasmus rules. Please consult your department head for academic approval.
  • Students who uploaded a valid acceptance letter during their application were awarded an additional 10 points. Students with invalid acceptance letters were not awarded additional points.
  • Students who gained additional points through a valid acceptance letter may not change their acceptance letter or the organization they will intern with under any circumstances. Changes are only alowed in the event of a visa rejection from the host country, with the approval of the Turkish National Agency and the Erasmus Office.
  • Students are responsible for regularly checking their emails, following al announcements published by the Erasmus Office, and maintaining communication with the office. The Erasmus Office is not responsible for any issues caused by students not checking their emails, not reading announcements, or being uninformed about developments.

 

IMPORTANT NOTE: The mobility activities to be carried out under this project are limited to the duration of the 2026 project. Students who qualify must complete their mobility within this project's timeframe, with a minimum duration of two months.
 


Orientation Program

A detailed orientation program will be organized for students eligible for Erasmus mobility. Attendance is mandatory for al students on the main list and those submitting a No-Grant Participation Form. Students who fail to attend without a valid reason will incur a 5 point deduction in their next Erasmus application. The orientation program will be organized as soon as possible, and the date and time will be announced later.

Students wishing to appeal the application results must submit their objections via email to erasmus@nisantasi.edu.tr by 12.08.2026 at 13:00. Appeals sent after this deadline will not be considered.

The final list, including any changes resulting from appeals, will be announced on 14.08.2026. If no changes occur due to appeals, the current list will remain valid.
