BLENDED INTENSIVE PROGRAM (BIP) APPLICATION ANNOUNCEMENT FOR SOFTWARE ENGINEERING AND BUSINESS MANAGEMENT ACADEMICIANS

WHAT IS A BLENDED INTENSIVE PROGRAM (BIP)?

Blended intensive programs alow higher education institutions to develop educational programs (curricula) and activities with physical and virtual components for their students, academic, and administrative staff. During these programs, grps of students or staff participate in short-term physical mobility integrated with a mandatory virtual component that facilitates collaborative online learning and teamwork. This virtual component brings participants together online to complete specific tasks/assignments synchronously and collaboratively, contributing to the program's learning outcomes.

WHO CAN APPLY?

The staff applying for the Erasmus BIP Program must be academics in the SOFTWARE ENGINEERING AND/OR BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION department at Istanbul Nişantaşı University. The relevant application is only for these two fields.

Information about the program:

The online part of the program is planned to be carried out between March 2025 and May 2025. The physical part will take place in Portugal between 19-23 May 2025, hosted by "Instituto Superior Politécnico Gaya". Within the scope of the program,"Entrepreneurship in IT" workshop will be held. In addition to the workshop, various cultural activities, opening reception and closing events are also included in the program.

 

Application Requirements:

 

Staff who would like to to participate in mobility must be employed full-time or part-time at Istanbul Nişantaşı University and must be actively performing their duties. No specific position requirement is needed for personnel employed at higher education institutions, and personnel with a contract with the institution can benefit from the activities.

A score of at least 70.0 in the Foreign Language Proficiency Exam (YDS, YÖKDİL) or an equivalent score from an exam recognized by ÖSYM (such as TOEFL, PTE, etc.) is required.

 

Applications will be made through the Turkish National Agency Erasmus Application System (https://turnaportal.ua.gov.tr/giris?returnUrl=/) between Monday, December 16, 2024 - Monday, December 23, 2024.

 

Note: Applications made with incomplete or incorrect information and/or documents will be considered invalid.

 

 

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR APPLICATION:

 

• A language certificate showing a score of at least 70.0 in the Foreign Language Proficiency Exam (YDS, YÖKDİL) or an equivalent score from an exam recognized by ÖSYM (such as TOEFL, PTE, etc.).

 

 

EVALUATION CRITERIA:

 

• Selection and evaluation criteria and ratings for Teaching and Training mobility are below: Successful candidates are determined by the ranking to be made according to the total reached by the calculation of the points to be added or subtracted according to the following criteria to 50% of the applicant's language score.

 

 

Selection criteria and weighted scores to be used for evaluation of applications:

 

 

 

Evaluation is made by considering the total score of the valuation criteria and 50% of the Foreign Language Score. The staff with the highest scores are listed separately as teaching and training. The determined lists are evaluated by the International Exchange and Cooperation Commission the placements are made.

GRANTS AND THE QUOTAS

• The total quota for the BIP Program is 2 participants, based on the grant alocated by the National Agency to our university.

• For the 5-day physical mobility in Portugal, the total grant amount, including travel support, is 925 Euros (79*5=395 € per diem and 530 € travel support) within the framework of the Erasmus Practical Handbook.

NOT    : Staff who are slcted but withdraw from Erasmus Mobility outside of the specified withdrawal period will have 10 points deducted from their total score for the next application period.
