General Information about the 2021-2022 Academic Year Fall Semester Final Exams for Associate and Undergraduate Students

  • Final exams of courses seen as Virtual Campus in the exam calendar will be carried out on the Virtual Campus (Sanal Kampüs) Exam Module (https://nisantasi-sinav-lms.almscloud.net/).
    Username and password to enter the exam module is the same as used for entering the Virtual Campus.
  • The exam module can be accessed from personal computers, tablets, smart mobile phones or computers in the computer laboratories of our university. On 22-30 January 2022, al of our computer laboratories at our Maslak 1453 Neotech Campus will be ready for use with 50% capacity in accordance with the physical distance rules. Personal computer use is recommended in exams in terms of ergonomics.
  • Students can use the computer laboratories of any university in their province for their final exams.
  • Before starting the exams, it should be checked that the devices are fully charged and that there is enough quota in internet packages. Also, it should be checked that the device and internet browser are up-to-date.
  • Virtual Campus works best on Google Chrome web browser. The browser cache should be cleared before starting the exams.
  • In order for students to take the online final exams with the distance education method, they must be registered on the Virtual Campus for al the courses they take in the fal semester of 2021-2022.
  • Students who are registered but cannot see the courses on the Virtual Campus are required to report to sanalkampus@nisantasi.edu.tr e-mail address until January 21, 2022, 17:00.
  • Exam date and time of al the courses conducted online with the distance education method have been announced on the website of Nişantaşı University.
  • Exams will be uploaded into the system up to 1 day before the dates specified in the exam schedule. Students should check whether the exam of the course they are enrolled in has been uploaded within 24 hours before the exam, and if the exam is not uploaded, they should immediately contact the instructor responsible for the course.
  • In exams, each student is given the right to take the exam once for 1 course.
  • Access to online final exams with the distance learning method will be made at the time intervals announced for each course on our website, and access to the exams of the relevant courses will be automaticaly closed at the end of the period. For example; the student will be able to take the exam for a specified period of time starting from the beginning of an exam on the Virtual Campus between 12:00-12:30, but the relevant exam will be closed automaticaly at the end of this time interval. Students who start the exam late have spent the time defined for the exam and will NOT be given extra time to complete the exam. For this reason, it is important to start the exams on time and the responsibility belongs to the student. Exam starting dates of the courses are specified in the exam calendar.
  • Examinations are to be held in Turkey local time, (if any) students who attend from abroad are required to take the exam based on the time of Turkey.
  • In order to gain access to distance education final exams and to calculate exam scores correctly, students must log in to the system with their own user accounts, and after completing the exams, click the "Finish Exam" button.
  • The "Finish Exam" button should NEVER be clicked before al questions in the exams are answered.
  • THE EXAMS SHOULD BE COMPLETED CONSIDERING THAT TIME IS A PART OF THE EXAM. THE EXAMS WILL BE CLOSED AUTOMATICalY WHEN THE EXAM IS EXPIRED.
  • Exam questions will be asked randomly from the question pools that have been created before and contain many questions. These randomly slcted questions will be asked to students in random order. The answer choices of the exam questions will also be mixed within themselves.
  • In the exams, multiple choice with one correct answer, multiple choice with multiple correct answer, open-ended, matching and ranking questions will be asked.
  • In open-ended questions, the "Enter" key should not be clicked before the full answer is written. The "Enter" key stands for confirmation and alows you to jump to the next question.
  • When the exam starts, only one question will appear on the screen. It can be proceeded to the next question by answering this question or leaving it blank. There will be NO RETURN to questions that are answered in the exams or left blank.
  • The answered questions will appear in blue in the answer list section on the right side of the exam screen. It may take 3-5 seconds to save the answers, depending on internet speed. DO NOT proceed to the next question until the given answer turns blue.
  • Incorrect answers will NOT affect your correct answers in the exams.
  • It is a legal offense to copy, take pictures, distribute or publish exam questions. If detected, necessary legal action will be initiated.
  • Necessary legal procedures will be initiated against students who are determined to cheat individualy or collectively in the exams.
  • Necessary legal proceedings will be initiated about al kinds of irregularities prohibited in exams.
  • Students who have more than one exam on the same day and hour (exam overlap) are recommended to contact their advisors.
  • IN CASES SUCH AS INTERNET OR POWER OUTAGES, STUDENTS CAN CLICK THE EXAM AGAIN DURING THE EXAM PERIOD AND CONTINUE. FOR EXAMPLE; STUDENTS WHO HAVE A COMPUTER LOCKED OR AN INTERNET/POWER OUTAGE DURING THE EXAM CAN RESUME THE EXAM WITH THEIR MOBILE PHONE IMMEDIATELY.
  • IPs and Log records of students who claim to have problems in exams are examined. Students in this situation must prove their problem with a picture or video recording.
  • Exam results will be announced on the OBIS system on the date specified in the academic calendar.
  • Open-ended questions are evaluated by the instructors.
  • E-mails should NOT be sent to the Virtual Campus for objections to exam questions or scores.
  • For exam objections, the form must be downloaded from the address https://www.nisantasi.edu.tr/Sayfalar/formlar.html  on the Student Affairs tab of our university website.
  • Exam objection forms should be sent to the following faculty / school secretariat e-mail addresses via the student e-mail addresses with the extension @std.nisantasi.edu.tr.
