Istanbul Nişantaşı University students participated in the International Gastronomy Film Festival, held for the second time this year within the scope of the ÜNİDES project supported by the Ministry of Youth and Sports. Through the "Narrate a Film of Your Choice with Food" project, carried out under the supervision of Res. Asst. Gönen Islakoğlu, students brought cinema and gastronomy together through creative works.

The festival, held in Çeşme, began with presentations discussing the relationship between gastronomy, art, and cinema. In the practical phase of the program, students interpreted their chosen films from a gastronomic perspective, transforming the characters, atmosphere, and story into original plate designs.

The works exhibited at the festival demonstrated that food presentation is not limited only to flavor; it can also reflect a story, culture, and cinematographic narrative. The prepared plates garnered interest from the attendees with their original interpretations combining creativity, aesthetics, and technical skill.

Within the scope of the project, students had the opportunity to apply their knowledge and skills in the field of gastronomy while also gaining the chance to improve their interdisciplinary thinking, interpretation, and design competencies.

The ÜNİDES project, supported by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, aims to enrich students' practical experiences by bringing their academic studies together with culture, arts, and creative industries.-
