29 October Republic Day Event was held on October 27, 2023, at Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cevdet Uysal Conference Hal. The program started with a minute of silence and the national anthem. The pieces are caled 10^th Year Anthem, Dumlupınar Anthem, and Bülbülüm Altın Kafeste that were performed by the choir of the Conservatory Department of Nisantasi University. The choir was conducted by Assist. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Baysal accompanied by the pianist, Research Assistant Güneş Yakartepe.

 Prof. Dr. Göknur Akçadağ-Head of the History Department of Istanbul Nişantaşı University- moderated the interview and Prof. Dr. Nuri Güçtekin, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of History, Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University, gave a presentation on "Traces of the History of Turkish Education in the 100th Year of the Republic" with the help of photographs from the MEB archives.

He talked about the reforms and institutions in the field of education in the early Republican period and the developments in the modernization process.

Prof. Dr. Göknur Akçadağ gave a speech on "Atatürk's View of History" and explained why Atatürk was interested in the field of history, how he considered it as a strategic field to create Turkish national consciousness, and the institutions and studies he established for historical research.
