This meaningful project, initiated by Pınar ÇİÇEKDENK and Mehmet ALPKAN, students of the Medical Imaging Techniques Programme at Istanbul Nişantaşı University, aims to facilitate female students’ access to essential hygiene products and break the taboos surrounding menstruation.

Thanks to the free sanitary pad boxes placed in the women’s restrooms at Istanbul Nişantaşı University, students can easily access the hygiene products they need in emergencies and experience this natural process more comfortably.

The project aims to raise awareness of gender equality and women’s health, while also drawing attention to period poverty and emphasising that access to hygiene products is not a privilege but a fundamental right.
