EVENTS

The conference was held as the closing event of the Strong Women on the Road project, supported by the Istanbul Nişantaşı University Scientific Research Center and conducted by Asst. Prof. Dr. Nazlı Kazanoğlu, Head of the Department of Political Science and Public Administration. The Strong Women on the Road Project began in February 2023 and contributed to the capacity development of 50 disadvantaged women's cooperatives actively engaged in production in Istanbul and surrounding villages through training series and mentorship programs. The opening speech of the conference, which served as the project's closing event, was delivered by Prof. Dr. Ayça Ergun Özbolat, a faculty member of the sociology department at Middle East Technical University, and 42 academics from many different regions of the country, including Şırnak, Gaziantep, Çankırı, and Eskişehir, participated in the conference.
