As part of the Social Work and Civil Society course conducted by Lecturer Büşra Bayar, Elif Balta, a first-year student in the Social Work Programme, visited the Turkish Green Crescent.

During the visit, information was obtained about the institution’s efforts to combat addiction and its protective and preventive activities, and evaluations were made regarding social work practices. The visit enabled the student to observe first-hand the role of non-governmental organisations in addressing social problems and supported the theoretical content of the course with field experience.
