With the participation and support of first-year students enrolled in the Sports Management Programme, the “Sport Knows No Barriers” event was held on 05.04.2026 to promote participation and raise awareness through sport. As part of the event, seven athletes from Avcılar Sports Club for Individuals with Physical Disabilities and seven athletes from Bağcılar Sports Club for Individuals with Physical Disabilities came together with their accompanying family members.

As part of the organisation, the Basketbal Super League match between Galatasaray MCT Technic and Bursaspor at the Turkcell Basketbal Development Centre was watched together. Thanks to the valuable support of the host, Galatasaray Sports Club, our participants enjoyed a pleasant and rewarding match experience.

The event aimed to support the participation of individuals with physical disabilities in social, cultural and sporting activities, highlight the unifying and inclusive power of sport, and raise public awareness. It also sought to bring the athletes and their accompanying family members together in an enjoyable, safe and motivating environment, boost their morale, and demonstrate through a concrete organisation that a love of sport knows no barriers.

At the end of the event, it was observed that the athletes and their accompanying family members were satisfied with the organisation. The positive feedback received from the participants demonstrated that the event had achieved its objectives and made a meaningful contribution to social awareness. The planned and smooth implementation of the organisational process also showed that the teamwork had been effective. The satisfaction, motivation and desire to organise similar activities again demonstrated that the event was a successful and effective initiative for both the participants and the organisers.
