On September 10, our Head of the Foreign Languages Department, Assoc. Prof. Dr. İhsan İkizer, delivered a session titled “Sustainability and Universities” within the framework of the INU-CELT “Training of Trainers” program. Conducted simultaneously in face-to-face and online formats, the session aimed to provide information on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and raise awareness about the role of universities in this process.

The session particularly focused on the following topics:

• The role of universities in sustainability and their leading function in societal transformation
• Sustainability in research, education, and community engagement
• Integrating sustainability into curricula and teaching practices

This session provided valuable insights for our academic staff and contributed to strengthening our university’s commitment to sustainability.
