Within the frame of the cooperation between the Department of Textile and Fashion Design and TİHCAD (Textile Exporters and Employees Association), the 4th Sustainability Summit was organized within the scope of "Textile and Fashion Design Sustainability Meetings".  At the summit organized by Department of Textile and Fashion Design faculty members Asst. Prof. Bahar YILDIZ, Asst. Prof. Cantürk ÖZ and Lecturer Dilek AKDEMİR, under the coordination of Faculty of Art and Design, Head of Textile and Fashion Design Department Asst. Prof. Nursen GEYİK DEĞERLİ,  our students met with company representatives of global brands and also observed the sustainability efforts of the sector in different areas. Danish Consulate Sustainability Consultant Rikke Agerholm Therkildsen provided important information to the participants of the summit with her Green Agreement presentation. While Şile Municipality Şile Cloth Coordinator Gülşah Yıldız explained the sustainability efforts made for Şile Cloth, which has a geographical indication, the Şile Cloth products at the stand inspired new design projects for our students. At the summit, important information about the Sustainability Strategies of the textile and ready-to-wear sectors, the methods of implementing these strategies and the requirements of the "New and Sustainable World", the digital future of fashion were conveyed and the summit ended with a panel with the participation of representatives of global brands.
