The 14th Apparel Supply Industry Conference, organized in collaboration between the Department of Textile and Fashion Design at Istanbul Nişantaşı University and the Apparel Supply Manufacturers Association (KYSD), brought together leading industry representatives, academics, and students on June 9–10, 2026.

Throughout the two-day conference, participants discussed current developments in the textile and apparel industry, production processes, supply industry applications, sustainability, innovation, and future strategies for the sector.

The conference sessions were moderated by Dr. Nursen Geyik Değerli, Dr. Gül Özkan, and Dr. Bahar Yıldız, faculty members of Istanbul Nişantaşı University. Bringing together

academia and industry on the same platform, the event provided students with the opportunity to gain first-hand insights into various fields of the textile supply industry from experienced professionals.

Representatives from NYN Askı, Doğuş Askı, Ar-teks Dar Dokuma, Özel Kurdele, Gür Aksesuar, Polsan Düğme, Form Düğme, Ata İmalat, Trend Etiket, Yenel Etiket, Akbarkod, EMR Fermuar, ECE Fermuar, Fermas Fermuar, Menderes Tekstil, and Telasis Tekstil participated in the program and met with attendees.

As a significant outcome of the long-standing university-industry collaboration between the Department of Textile and Fashion Design at Istanbul Nişantaşı University and KYSD, the conference enabled students to reinforce their theoretical knowledge with industry experience, expand their professional networks, and contribute to their career planning.
