The 2nd Sustainable Facility Management Summit, hosted by Istanbul Nişantaşı University, began with the opening speech of Prof. Dr. Selma Karatepe, Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences. Prof. Dr. Karatepe emphasized that sustainability has become a necessity in the face of climate change and the depletion of natural resources.

The summit continued with the speech of Dr. Aylin İlgen, President of TESYÖN. Dr. İlgen highlighted that sustainability can only be achieved through correct production methods and a holistic approach, and announced the launch of a new graduate program in facility management.
UTTMD President Kemal Evcioğlu addressed the impact of global changes on the sector, underlining the importance of collaboration and technological adaptation.

During the protocol speeches, TYTFED President Süleyman Görenekli emphasized that sustainable comfort spaces can only be achieved through proper planning, while Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Uğur Yozgat stressed the importance of eco-friendly approaches and warned about the growing influence of technology on human thought.
PEMS Founding General Manager İsmail Taşkıran shared innovative solutions aimed at reducing energy consumption.

In the first session, TRKTYD President Suat Sandalcı discussed licensing efforts related to the Condominium Law, TRFMA President Nazlı Uzunlar stressed the importance of protecting natural resources, and representatives from Emlak Konut, Kenan Apaydın and Metin Tekin, focused on the environmental impacts of buildings and energy management practices.

Berfin Çeçen Şenol, Founder of WISERA Technology, spoke about how digitalization enhances efficiency in facility management, presenting the achievements of their AI-supported system.

In the second session, Hülya Çakır from ÇBS shared developments in zero waste practices, and Dr. Ahmet Çıtıpıtıoğlu from TAV Construction discussed digital project management processes.
Emre Cevdet Çizmecioğlu, Managing Partner at Easy Point, emphasized the role of the energy sector in promoting environmental sustainability.

The third session, moderated by Gürkan Kalafat, featured Levent Çelik from Sabiha Gökçen Airport, who emphasized the importance of operational efficiency, and Ferdun Dönmez from Durmazlar Holding, who discussed the future role of flexible and smart infrastructures in energy management.

Cem Genç, Sales Director of Smart Home Turkey, pointed out that automation systems are now essential for energy efficiency and operational convenience.

In the final session, Fatih Şalkam from Koç University Hospital shared energy-saving projects achieved through automation systems, UTTMD President Kemal Evcioğlu emphasized the importance of sustainable management, and Nurcan Yemelek Ataş from TEB discussed the successes achieved through their energy management practices.

The 2nd Sustainable Facility Management Summit successfully concluded by strengthening knowledge sharing and making significant contributions to the vision of sustainable management in the sector.
