We held a highly productive meeting emphasizing the critical role and strategic importance of basic sciences within undergraduate dentistry education. Bringing together our distinguished and experienced faculty members, we had the opportunity to thoroughly evaluate the current practices.

Throughout the meeting, we discussed the current chalenges in basic science education, solution-oriented approaches to enhance quality, and methods that can be applied to strengthen the curriculum. We focused on ways to increase scientific research, support project development, and help students integrate theoretical knowledge with clinical practice.

With the valuable contributions of al participating academics, we addressed sustainable quality in basic sciences, research-oriented education, mechanisms to encourage interdisciplinary work, and strategies to enhance student competencies. In doing so, we successfully concluded our meeting with outcomes that will contribute both to our faculty’s academic development and to the cultivation of highly qualified future dentists.

This meeting once again highlighted the indispensable role of basic sciences in dentistry education and demonstrated the power of collaboration and collective wisdom in advancing our educational processes.
