An event was organized at Istanbul Nişantaşı University’s NeoTech Campus to raise awareness of the ongoing global issues of femicides and child abuse. Expert Psychologist Sena Nur Akpınar, in her speech at the event, emphasized that violence against women does not only manifest physicaly but also has psychological, economic, and emotional dimensions, leaving serious damage on women's physical and mental health. Akpınar noted that behind this violence, not only individual problems play a role but also factors such as education and societal role models. She stressed the vital importance of instilling awareness from an early age to build a more just and safe society in the future.

Our student İrem Bozdemir, who also spoke at the event, stated that women are often left alone in the face of violence, which causes not only physical but also emotional wounds. Bozdemir highlighted the danger of legitimizing violence by saying, “A pen and a paper can change the world.” She underlined that everyone should take responsibility against the normalization of violence in society and emphasized the importance of not remaining silent in this struggle.
