The Basic ECG Course, held at Istanbul Nişantaşı University NeoTech Campus, was successfully completed after an intensive four-day program. The course, designed for healthcare professionals and students, provided participants with comprehensive training, covering both theoretical and practical aspects of ECG.

Throughout the course, key topics such as the operating principles of ECG devices, the anatomy of the heart, and the importance of electrode placement on the thoracic region were highlighted. Cardiac arrhythmias, including tachycardias, bradycardias, atrial flutter, and fibrillation, were thoroughly examined, and the characteristic findings of these rhythm disorders on an ECG were explained in detail. Abnormalities related to heart structure, such as ventricular rhythms, bundle branch blocks, and cardiac hypertrophies, were also discussed.

One of the topics covered was the impact of electrolyte imbalances on ECG findings. Participants gained detailed knowledge on diagnosing and managing these imbalances through case studies commonly encountered in clinical practice. Presentations on the effects of medications on ECG findings and the identification of artifacts emphasized the importance of accurate diagnosis.

The course also included practical sessions, whr participants performed hands-on ECG analyses on various cases. This alowed theoretical knowledge to be reinforced with practice, enhancing participants' clinical skills. The course provided attendees with in-depth knowledge about the vital role of ECG in heart health and gave them the opportunity to apply their knowledge in practical settings.
