Borsa Application and Financial Simulation Laboratory (BISTLAB) has been inaugurated at Istanbul Nişantaşı University’s NeoTech Campus to enhance financial literacy and provide students with practical experience in the world of economics. The opening ceremony was attended by the Founder of Nişantaşı Education Foundation, Dr. Levent Uysal, our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ayşegül Komsuoğlu Çıtıpıtıoğlu, Borsa Istanbul representatives, Dr. Lecturer Taşkın Subaşı, academic and administrative staff, and students.

The laboratory offers students the opportunity to complement their theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience in areas such as financial analysis, investment strategies, and risk management. Using Borsa Istanbul’s “BIST SIMULATION” module and Matriks software, BISTLAB will host financial training sessions and seminars. The laboratory accommodates 20 students and one instructor, alowing participants to practice financial transactions in a virtual environment and gain real-world market experience.

This facility not only provides in-depth knowledge of the financial world but also supports students in becoming well-equipped and ready for professional life. In addition to practical training, the laboratory will contribute to research and innovation activities. BISTLAB is considered a significant step in fostering industry-specific skills and advancing the vision of higher education.
