Comprehensive Meetings Held at Istanbul Nişantaşı University School of Civil Aviation to Enhance Quality Standards

Istanbul Nişantaşı University organized comprehensive quality meetings to elevate the education standards at the School of Civil Aviation, aviation-related departments within the Vocational School, and the Aviation Management Department under the Faculty of Economics, Administrative, and Social Sciences.

The meetings, held on February 26, 2025, were attended by the esteemed Rector, Prof. Dr. Ayşegül Komsuoğlu Çıtıpıtıoğlu, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Yeşim Özer Yürür, Secretary General Dr. Ahmet Süngeriçlioğlu, Director of the School of Civil Aviation Prof. Dr. Muzaffer Ertürk, department heads, faculty members, and the Quality Coordination Office.

The primary agenda of the meetings included evaluating curriculum innovations aligned with the current needs of the aviation sector, enhancing the effectiveness of student-centered learning models, and strengthening quality assurance processes.

During the meetings, updates in the educational programs of the School of Civil Aviation, newly integrated courses based on industry requirements, and practical training processes were discussed.

In her speech, Rector Prof. Dr. Ayşegül Komsuoğlu Çıtıpıtıoğlu emphasized the university’s quality-oriented education vision, highlighting the importance of reinforcing a quality culture to train well-equipped and competent graduates for the aviation industry.

Additionaly, concrete steps were taken to improve the quality assurance processes of the departments in alignment with the Institutional Accreditation Program (KAP). The discussions also focused on enhancing mechanisms that aim to meet international standards in aviation education, continuous improvement, and strategies for integrating developments in the industry.

Finaly, the senior management of Istanbul Nişantaşı University announced that quality processes would be expanded across al aviation-related departments and that efforts for continuous improvement would be intensified.
