A cooperation protocol aimed at bringing together the academic expertise of Istanbul Nişantaşı University with the industrial sector, contributing to the development of students and staff, and developing joint projects was signed between Istanbul Nişantaşı University and Nikel Stainless Steel Industry and Trade Inc. The protocol was signed by Prof. Dr. Uğur Yozgat, Vice-Rector of Istanbul Nişantaşı University, and Ersoy Özbek, General Manager responsible for Financial Affairs at Nikel Stainless Steel Industry and Trade Inc. Within the scope of the protocol, the parties aim to establish sustainable cooperation in education, research and development, internship and employment opportunities, social responsibility projects, and various academic-industry activities. Accordingly, the protocol seeks to align the university’s academic expertise with the needs of the industrial sector, develop joint projects, and increase activities that contribute to the sector. Under the agreement, the parties will be able to jointly organise events such as seminars, workshops, conferences and technical visits, as well as conduct collaborative studies in academic consultancy, field research, research and development, and data sharing. In addition, students of Istanbul Nişantaşı University will be offered internship and practical training opportunities at Nikel Stainless Steel Industry and Trade Inc. Training programmes, certificate programmes and postgraduate education opportunities designed to support the professional development of company employees will also be implemented. This cooperation is expected to strengthen the exchange of knowledge and experience between the university and the industrial sector, enable students to gain sectoral experience, and contribute to the development of initiatives focused on social benefit.
