In the event titled "Culinary Stories of an Empire," award-winning chef Yunus Emre Akkor and culinary instructor chef Çiğdem Alagök came together with gastronomy students.

Chef Yunus Emre Akkor shared his professional journey, the awards he has received, his documentary project, and the story behind his published books. Emphasizing that every piece of work should leave a mark, Akkor underlined the importance of tradition-based, original creations that resonate both nationaly and internationaly. He encouraged students to read extensively, express themselves clearly, and focus on gaining meaningful experiences.

Chef Çiğdem Alagök highlighted the importance of regional product knowledge in Turkish cuisine, stating that understanding whr to source ingredients from is essential for both cultural preservation and culinary quality.
