Hosted by the Istanbul Nişantaşı University Faculty of Medicine and organized in cooperation with the Menopause and Reproductive Endocrinology Society (MENÜDER), the “Current Approaches in Menopause Management Istanbul Symposium” brought together academicians, physicians, and sector representatives working in the field of women's health.
At the symposium, whr the menopause process—an important period in a woman's life—was discussed in light of current scientific data; the management of menopause symptoms, menopausal hormone therapy, current treatment options, and approaches aimed at improving the quality of life were comprehensively evaluated by specialist physicians and academicians.
The opening speeches of the symposium were delivered by MENÜDER President Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pınar Kadiroğulları, Istanbul Nişantaşı University Faculty of Medicine Dean Prof. Dr. Emrah İpek, and Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology Prof. Dr. Ozan Doğan.
Within the scope of the program, while leading researchers in the field shared current scientific developments in menopause management with the participants, journalist and author Melis Alphan and pilates instructor Ebru Şalı also conveyed their views and experiences regarding increasing social awareness about menopause.
During the symposium, promotional stands were set up by various institutions and companies from the technology, pharmaceutical, and health sectors operating in the field of women's health, providing participants with information about new products and applications.
The symposium, whr current scientific knowledge and experiences in the field of women's health were shared, contributed to strengthening the cooperation among the academy, the health sector, and society.
