Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Osman Boyraz came together with students, academicians, and sector representatives at the "Transportation Vision - Academic Year-End Summit and Sector Meeting" organized by the School of Civil Aviation at Istanbul Nişantaşı University. 

At the event held at the NeoTech Campus Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cevdet Uysal Conference Hal, Deputy Minister Boyraz shared the story of Turkey's growth in civil aviation and its future vision. In addition, Sarıyer District Governor Metin Maytalman also attended the ceremony. 

In his speech, Deputy Minister Boyraz pointed out that the record of the history of the Republic was broken with the number of passengers exceeding 247 million in 2025, emphasizing that Turkey hosts the sixth-largest air traffic in Europe with an average of 3,355 daily flights. Expressing that Turkey is a decisive power in global aviation with its flight network reaching 356 destinations in 133 countries and an active fleet size exceeding 800, Boyraz said, "Turkish aviation has today become one of the fastest-growing and most competitive sectors in the world."

The event also carried a historical significance as the Piloting department produced its first graduates. Certificates of achievement were presented to students who successfully graduated from the Airframe and Powerplant Maintenance, Aviation Electrical and Electronics, and Air Traffic Control departments. 
School of Civil Aviation Director Prof. Dr. Muzaffer Ertürk addressed the graduates, drawing attention to the vast opportunities and great responsibilities awaiting them in this strong growth process of Turkish aviation. Following the ceremony, the university administration, academicians, sector representatives, and students came together to evaluate cooperation opportunities between the academy and the sector.
