Elif Berra Gökkır, a second-year student at the Istanbul Nişantaşı University School of Physical Education and Sports, Department of Sports Management, and a national athlete, achieved a significant success by winning two silver medals at the 2026 European Youth Archery Championships held in Rome, Italy.

The national athlete Gökkır became the European runner-up in the Recurve U21 Women’s category, while also winning the silver medal in the Recurve U21 Mixed Team category at the organization. With the two medals she won, she successfully represented both Turkey and Istanbul Nişantaşı University in Europe.

Elif Berra Gökkır added a new one to her international successes with the double silver medals she achieved at the European Championship. The national athlete had recently won a silver medal in the recurve women’s category at the Archery World Cup Stage 4 competitions held in Madrid, Spain, bringing Turkey its first individual medal in this category in the history of the World Cup stages. 

The national athlete’s appearance on the podium in two different categories once again demonstrated the rise of Turkish archery at the youth level.
