The event titled “First Response to Life, First Step towards a Career: Alumni and Student Gathering,” organised by the First and Emergency Aid Programme of the Vocational School of Health Services, was held in the Kağıthane Campus Conference Hal with the participation of our students, alumni and academic staff.

During the event, programme graduates working at various institutions met with our students and shared their knowledge and experiences regarding post-graduation career paths, professional life, employment opportunities in the public and private sectors, and professional development processes. Our students had the opportunity to listen to the career journeys of our alumni and ask them questions directly.

As part of the programme, our alumni shared their field experiences and provided valuable insights into professional responsibilities, the importance of teamwork and career planning. Through the question-and-answer session, our students gained first-hand information about sector expectations and professional life.

In the second part of the event, second-year students of the First and Emergency Aid Programme who are approaching graduation took their professional oath. They publicly pledged to uphold the ethical principles of the paramedic profession, respect human life and remain committed to their professional responsibilities. This meaningful ceremony, symbolising our students’ first steps into professional life, was marked by emotional moments.

The event made a significant contribution to increasing our students’ career awareness, strengthening our ties with alumni and developing a sense of professional belonging.
