In an event organized for the students of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports, Milliyet Newspaper Editorial Manager Emre Ergül, moderated by Dr. Faruk Salih Şeker, met with our students in a talk titled “Sports Media in Sports Economics: From Traditional Media to Digital Media.”
The event discussed the transformation process of media from the past to the present, with a detailed evaluation of the changes in sports economics, particularly with the digitalization of sports media. The impact of the transition from traditional media to digital platforms, including sports journalism, content creation, methods of reaching target audiences, and the economic structure, was shared with the participants.
With the contributions of Emre Ergül, who has significant experience in the field of sports media, our students had the opportunity to closely observe the current dynamics of the industry and gain different perspectives. In this regard, the event has been a productive gathering that contributed to the academic and professional development of our students.
