Our Head of Foreign Languages Department, Assoc. Prof. İhsan İkizer attended the Global Zero Waste Forum, held in Istanbul between 17–19 October 2025.

Organized under the theme “Zero Waste Movement: People, Space, Transformation,” this year’s forum brought together environmentaly conscious participants from around the world — from academics to policymakers. With representatives from each university, the event focused on current studies, practical implementations, and sustainable transformation strategies in the field of zero waste.

During the forum, entrepreneurs from various countries introduced innovative zero waste projects and shared successful examples of best practices. Representatives from the public sector, private industry, academia, and civil society discussed ways to promote the zero-waste vision and explored opportunities for future collaboration.

As the School of Foreign Languages at Istanbul Nişantaşı University, we attach great importance to sustainability, environmental awareness, and social responsibility, and we consider taking part in such international platforms valuable both for raising awareness and for sharing best practices.
