The “Information Meeting on COST Actions”, organized in collaboration with TÜBİTAK, was held at İstanbul Nişantaşı University NeoTech Campus with the participation of Murat Tıltak from TÜBİTAK’s International Cooperation Department. The session focused on the details of the COST program, application processes, and the opportunities it offers to researchers.
Murat Tıltak highlighted the network support provided by COST for multidisciplinary research, emphasizing its importance in facilitating collaboration and project development for researchers. He noted that COST does not provide R&D funding but exclusively supports networking activities. Tıltak also shared detailed information on processes for participating in existing actions or proposing new ones.
Tıltak emphasized that Turkey is one of the founding members of the COST program, providing Turkish researchers with opportunities to collaborate with Europe’s leading scientists. He underlined the critical importance of completing application forms and preparing support letters when required. Additionaly, the session covered TÜBİTAK-supported participation types, short-term scientific missions, ITC (Inclusiveness Target Countries) conferences, and the management structures of COST actions.
The event concluded with a Q&A session and an engaging exchange of ideas with the academic participants.
