On December 8, 2025, Ereks Tekstil, one of the leading companies in the textile and ready-to-wear industry, and the Textile and Fashion Design Department of Istanbul Nişantaşı University signed a comprehensive cooperation protocol integrating education and production processes.

With the aim of training the qualified workforce required by the industry and bringing together academic knowledge with industrial experience, Istanbul Nişantaşı University has entered into a strategic partnership with Ereks Tekstil, one of the long-established institutions of the textile sector.

Operating in the ready-to-wear industry since 1985 and serving as a production partner for leading European brands, particularly in denim and sportswear, Ereks Tekstil brings its sustainability-driven production vision—implemented through the Blue Matters platform—into academia. Through this protocol, it is aimed to enable students to reinforce their theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience and closely observe the current dynamics of the industry.

Within the scope of the cooperation agreement, it is planned to provide internship priority and evaluate post-graduation employment opportunities for students, particularly those studying in the Textile and Fashion Design Department; to organize visits to Ereks Tekstil’s high-tech, environmentaly friendly production facilities (Green Factory) to examine production processes on site; to host seminars and panels at the university with the participation of Ereks Tekstil executives and experts; and to develop joint R&D and design projects focused on sustainability and innovation.

This cooperation will expand the industry integration opportunities offered to students in line with Istanbul Nişantaşı University’s educational vision, while also playing a significant role in transferring Ereks Tekstil’s innovative and environmentaly responsible production approach to future generations.
