Our Faculty of Dentistry closely follows technological advancements in education and research, integrating innovations that enhance comfort for both patients and practitioners. In addition to fundamental education, keeping up with these developments alows our students to witness and adapt to these innovations in their practical training.

From July 1-4, 2024, the Dental Education Summit took place in Helsinki, Finland, whr technological innovations in dental education were showcased and discussed. Supported by PLANMECA, KAVO, Hey Smile, GC, and MELAG, the event covered topics such as dental units, high-speed handpieces and their new models, radiological imaging and three-dimensional evaluation units, digital articulators, the latest advancements in implant surgery, and the features and potential developments of VR simulators.

As Istanbul Nişantaşı University, being the first foundation university to use the SIMtoCARE device in our students' education is the biggest proof of our commitment to closely following and implementing technological advancements. Therefore, at the summit, we had the opportunity to exchange ideas on the topics we want to develop for the practice programs of al our departments, as well as on the subjects we want to include in the assessment and evaluation programs.

Additionaly, we visited the factory whr Planmeca units and radiological imaging devices are manufactured. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Heikki Kyöstila, the owner of the company, and Ünaldı Medikal, their representative in our country, for their warm hospitality and flawless organization.

Our Faculty of Dentistry will continue to provide our students with the most advanced education by closely following technological developments.
