The Foreign Languages Department at İstanbul Nişantaşı University took part in the 14th Forum on Assessment Issues (FOAI-14) on April 18–19, 2025. Themed “Speaking Assessment: Current Trends and Opportunities,” the event brought together educators from across Turkey and North Cyprus to share practices and explore new directions in assessment.

Keynote speaker Dr. Neus Figueras opened the forum with valuable insights on speaking assessment and the CEFR CV. The event continued with collaborative focus grp sessions, offering space for practical discussions and idea exchange.

Participation in FOAI-14 reflects our department’s ongoing commitment to staying updated, strengthening assessment literacy, and improving language education practices. We thank FOAI team for their warm welcome and excellent organization.
