Istanbul Nişantaşı University has officialy become a member of the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN), an influential initiative operating under the auspices of the UN Secretary-General. Established in 2012 by former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon and globaly renowned economist Professor Jeffrey Sachs, SDSN connects universities, think tanks, and research centers to accelerate the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Paris Agreement.

This prestigious membership strengthens our university’s dedication to advancing sustainable development globaly through research, education, and strategic collaborations. SDSN actively works in key areas such as combating climate change, promoting sustainable energy solutions, enhancing data analytics, and developing policies for sustainable agriculture and land use. The network also focuses on improving societal well-being and happiness, addressing global health chalenges, fostering good governance practices, and supporting the creation of sustainable cities. Additionaly, SDSN emphasizes the protection and sustainable management of tropical forests, aiming to deliver practical, evidence-based solutions to pressing global chalenges.
