Istanbul Nisantasi University achieved a remarkable success in the SCImago Institutions Rankings 2026, demonstrating strong performance across research, innovation, and societal impact indicators.

According to the 2026 results, the university ranked 16th among al universities in Türkiye. This marks a significant rise from 125th place in 2023, 80th in 2024, and 26th in 2025.

With this result, Istanbul Nisantasi University ranked 4th among foundation universities in Türkiye, following Koç University, Sabancı University, and Bilkent University.

The university’s most notable achievement was in the Research indicator, whr it ranked 3rd in Türkiye and 1st among foundation universities.

The university also demonstrated strong performance across several disciplines:

• Business, Management and Accounting: 3rd in Türkiye
• Computer Science: 10th in Türkiye
• Economics, Econometrics and Finance: 4th in Türkiye
• Engineering: 7th in Türkiye
• Environmental Science: 10th in Türkiye

At the subfield level, the university ranked:

• 1st in Türkiye in Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering
• 1st in Türkiye in Sociology and Political Science

SCImago Institutions Rankings evaluate universities worldwide based on research performance (50%), innovation outputs (30%), and societal impact (20%), using objective international data sources.
