Istanbul Nişantaşı University was placed in the 801–1000 band in the 2027 World University Rankings announced by Times Higher Education (THE), one of the world's leading higher education ranking institutions. There are 13 universities from Turkey in the top 1000. Of the 13 universities from Turkey in the top 1000, 7 are state and 6 are foundation universities. We congratulate Koç University, Middle East Technical University (METU), Sabancı University, Boğaziçi University, Bilkent University, Istanbul Technical University (ITU), Abdullah Gül University, Atatürk University, Hacettepe University, İstinye University, Özyeğin University, and Yıldız Technical University, which are in the top 1000 along with Istanbul Nişantaşı University.
Evaluating the university's success, Istanbul Nişantaşı University Founding President Levent Uysal stated that the result is a significant reward for the educational vision and long-term investments the university has adopted since its establishment.
Uysal said, "When founding Istanbul Nişantaşı University, our biggest goal was to create a university that offers our youth world-class educational opportunities, develops with science and technology, and establishes strong ties with the international academic world. Being among the top 1000 universities in the world today is a very valuable result of the investments we have made for years in line with this vision. We continue to invest in our academic staff, research infrastructure, technology, and the future of our students. Every success our university achieves on an international scale motivates us to offer greater opportunities to our youth and to contribute more to the scientific and technological development of our country. The THE World University Rankings are evaluated across five main dimensions: teaching, research environment, research quality, industry, and international outlook.
Istanbul Nişantaşı University's strongest performance in the 2027 results was in the research quality dimension. Scoring 76.9 points in research quality, which constitutes 30 percent of the overal ranking score, the university ranked 430th worldwide.
The result achieved in this dimension, which evaluates indicators such as citation impact, research strength, research excellence, and research influence, has been one of the key indicators revealing the quality of Istanbul Nişantaşı University's scientific production and the impact it has created in the international scientific community.
The university also ranked 419th in the world in the international outlook dimension, which evaluates international student and academic staff ratios as well as international joint publications.
Istanbul Nişantaşı University Rector Prof. Dr. Ayşegül Komsuoğlu stated that the results obtained offer the opportunity to collectively evaluate different dimensions of the university's academic development strategy.

"International university rankings are important tools that alow higher education institutions to evaluate their education, research, and internationalization performances through common indicators. The five main dimensions of the THE World University Rankings—teaching, research environment, research quality, industry, and international outlook—enable universities to analyze their academic capacities holisticaly.
Being among the top 1000 universities in the world is an important threshold for us. Ranking first in Turkey in research quality and second in Turkey in international outlook is a very valuable reward for the work we have carried out in the fields of research and internationalization in recent years.
We consider these indicators to be a vital part of our institutional development strategy. The harmony between academic staff and student capacity, spreading research productivity throughout the institution, strengthening the scientific impact of our publications, international joint research, and industry-supported scientific production are among our priority working areas.
The strong result we achieved in research quality provides us with significant motivation.
