Istanbul Nişantaşı University has achieved a significant milestone at both regional and national levels in fostering a culture of research and project development, with an exceptional increase in applications to the 2025 TÜBİTAK 2209-A University Student Research Projects Support Program. The number of project applications submitted by our university rose from just 20 in 2024 to 238 in 2025, representing a record increase of 1,090%. This remarkable growth clearly demonstrates the significant rise in our students’ motivation to develop research projects and the strong support provided by our academic advisors.

Throughout the process, 108 academic advisors and 642 students from various faculties and academic programs actively participated in project preparation, transforming their research and development efforts into concrete proposals under the TÜBİTAK 2209-A Program. This high level of participation reflects the strengthening of academic and professional competencies at our university, including scientific thinking, research skills, teamwork, and time and resource management.

This significant achievement has been made possible by:

• Our students’ strong interest in scientific research and innovation,

• The dedicated guidance and support of our academic advisors,

• The systematic efforts of the Technology Transfer Office, including project-writing training sessions, one-on-one consultations, and hands-on support throughout the application process.

At Istanbul Nişantaşı University, we aim to strengthen our research ecosystem year after year, increase our students’ participation in national and international funding programs, and establish project-based learning as an integral part of our institutional culture.
