Istanbul Nişantaşı University Showcases Its Technology and Innovation Projects at TEKNOFEST

As Istanbul Nişantaşı University, we will take part in TEKNOFEST Southeast, to be held at Şanlıurfa GAP Airport from 30 September to 4 October 2026, showcasing our innovative work, academic research, and our students’ technology-driven projects. As one of Türkiye’s most important platforms for science and technology, the festival will feature not only the scientific work of our academics but also a total of five student projects. Four of these projects will be exhibited at our University’s stand, while our award-winning project will be featured in TEKNOFEST’s dedicated exhibition area.

Supporting project-based education through technology, innovation, and hands-on learning opportunities, our University aims to bring the work of our academics and students to a wider audience through its participation in TEKNOFEST. Throughout the festival, our stand will showcase scientific and technological projects, alongside virtual reality applications, robotics technologies, and a variety of interactive activities for visitors.

Our Academics’ Scientific Research to Meet Visitors

As part of TEKNOFEST, visitors will also have the opportunity to discover the scientific research and technology-focused projects developed by our academics.

The “TÜSEB Biosensor Project” by our Vice Rector, Prof. Dr. Ece Salihoğlu, and the project titled “Development of a Virtual Reality-Based Exercise Intervention Integrated with Physiological Feedback for Digital Game Addiction” by Assist. Prof. Elif Aleyna Yazgan will be showcased at the festival.

These projects demonstrate our University’s interdisciplinary research approach, which brings health sciences together with innovative technologies, while introducing our academic work focused on scientific research, technology development, and social impact to a wider audience.

Five Student Projects to Be Featured at TEKNOFEST

A total of five projects developed by our students will be featured at TEKNOFEST. Four will be presented at our University’s stand, while our award-winning student project will be showcased in TEKNOFEST’s dedicated exhibition area. This will enable our students’ work in technology, engineering, and innovation to reach a broad audience across different areas of the festival.

Our award-winning project, which will be featured in TEKNOFEST’s exhibition area, is VectorX, developed by our students Serkan Acar and Muhammed Emin Genç. Having won third place in the TEKNOFEST Artificial Intelligence in Aviation Competition, VectorX stands out as an example of our students’ innovative work in artificial intelligence and aviation technologies.

Showcasing our students’ projects at a national science and technology event will give them the opportunity to translate their academic knowledge into practical applications and share their solutions with diverse stakeholders. Alongside the four projects at our University’s stand, VectorX’s presence in TEKNOFEST’s exhibition area will highlight our students’ achievements in developing technologies and bringing innovative ideas to life across different platforms.

Experience Our Students’ Games Through VR Technology

At our stand, visitors will have the opportunity not only to explore the projects on display but also to experience the technologies developed by our students firsthand.

Games developed by our students will be available for visitors to experience using VR (virtual reality) headsets. This will bring our students’ work in digital content and game development to life in an interactive environment.

Through this experience, visitors will be able to explore our students’ technological work up close and observe how an idea progresses from initial design to practical implementation.

Our Robots, Future and X, to Introduce Our University

Other technology-based attractions engaging with visitors at the festival will be our robots, Future and X. These robots will actively contribute to introducing our University by sharing information about the institution and the opportunities it offers.

By incorporating robotics technologies into communication and university promotion, we aim to offer visitors an interactive, technology-focused university experience.

Visitors to our stand throughout TEKNOFEST will also be able to obtain detailed information about our academic programmes, educational opportunities, scientific research, and technology-focused activities.

Science and Technology Experiences Enriched with Interactive Activities

In addition to showcasing our academic and technological work, our stand will host activities that encourage visitors to participate actively. Knowledge competitions will be organized throughout the festival to promote engagement, and a variety of promotional gifts will be distributed to participants.

A dedicated keepsake and photo area will also be created, alowing visitors to capture memories of their TEKNOFEST experience. In this way, our stand will bring together academic achievements, student projects, virtual reality, and robotics technologies alongside opportunities for social interaction.

Through our participation in TEKNOFEST, Istanbul Nişantaşı University aims to introduce the scientific and technological work of its academics and students to a wider audience and contribute to the advancement of a culture of research, technology development, innovation, and production.
