Skydef, the pride of Istanbul Nişantaşı University, has achieved a significant success at TEKNOFEST 2024, held in Antalya. Competing in the Air Defense Technologies category, the Skydef team ranked 8th among 250 teams, scoring 180.3 points and demonstrating their competencies in an impressive manner. This achievement has brought great recognition for the team's technical skills and innovative solutions.
TEKNOFEST Chairman Selçuk Bayraktar personaly examined the team's project and closely interacted with our students, providing valuable feedback on their work. Similarly, the President of the Turkish Presidency of Defense Industries, Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün, also took a close interest in Skydef's work, offering significant advice to our students after thoroughly reviewing the project. These interactions with leading figures in the field provided not only motivation but also a valuable experience that will inspire our students in their future careers.
The Skydef team is composed of talented students from Istanbul Nişantaşı University's Departments of Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, and Natural Sciences. This team has proven the power of interdisciplinary collaboration and collective effort, taking an important step toward becoming the innovative leaders of tomorrow.
