As part of the "Equal Opportunities: Empowering Women in Smal Businesses" project, jointly carried out by Istanbul Nişantaşı University's Center for Women and Family Studies and the Women’s Business and Professional Association of Istanbul (BPW Istanbul), an online Needs Assessment Meeting was held on May 16, 2025. Supported by the European Union's Sivil Düşün Programme, the project aims to develop a structured training programme and a practical guidebook for smal businesses.

Representatives from organizations such as TÜRKONFED, SEDEFED, KAGİDER, and CEİD attended the meeting and shared recommendations on fostering women-friendly working environments and strengthening institutional capacity. The project is scheduled for completion on June 30, 2025, with the aim of sharing its outcomes with smal businesses across various sectors to create a broader and lasting impact.
