Sönmez Güler, a lecturer from the Foreign Languages Department at İstanbul Nişantaşı University, participated in the 58th International Association of Teachers of English as a Foreign Language (IATEFL) Conference, held in Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland, from April 8 to 11, 2025.

The IATEFL Conference is an annual event hosted in various cities across the United Kingdom, bringing together thousands of English language teachers, publishers, and renowned authors from around the globe. This prestigious gathering serves as a platform for discussing current issues in English Language Teaching (ELT), offering attendees fresh insights and valuable professional development opportunities.

With hundreds of presentations and workshops, the conference enables participants to slct sessions aligned with their interests. The event’s Special Interest Groups (SIGs) further support educators in tailoring the experience to their specific professional needs.
