Developed by Dr. Aynur MÜDÜROĞLU Kırmızıbekmez, Head of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Department, Nişantaşı University School of Health Sciences, the Alzheimer's diagnosis kit is the first in Turkey and in the world and with the kit, it is planned to prevent the threats of Alzheimer's disease with early diagnosis.

Providing information about NishKit, which gave results within 2 hours, Kırmızıbekmez said, “With the kit we developed, all GWAS meta-analyses and international databases related to AD risk genes and variants were scanned and 6 priority genes and the variants with the highest risk of these genes were determined. Afterwards, primers specific to the identified high-risk gene variants were designed and produced using genetic engineering techniques of DNA polymerase to be used in the project.”
