Our instructor from the Foreign Languages Department at Istanbul Nişantaşı University, Feride Elsaidi, participated in the interdisciplinary conference titled Borders: Literary, Cultural and Political Dialogues, held in Athens between 18–21 May 2026. The conference was hosted by the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in collaboration with the Hellenic Association for the Study of English (HASE).

In her presentation, Elsaidi examined the circulation of Sudanese literature through the English language, highlighting how Sudanese writers and literary works often gain international visibility only when they cross national, linguistic, and institutional boundaries. Her study contributed to ongoing academic discussions on the global circulation of literature, cultural visibility, and the politics of representation.
