Hosted by Akdeniz University on May 7–8, 2026, the “18th School of Foreign Languages Administrators Meeting” brought together administrators and academics from universities across Türkiye. Representing our university, the meeting was attended by Assoc. Prof. İhsan İkizer, Head of the Foreign Languages Department.

During the two-day program, sessions were held on various topics including the current state of foreign language education in higher education, accreditation processes, assessment and evaluation practices, AI-supported language teaching, curriculum development studies, and the management of preparatory programs. In addition, workshops and presentations conducted in different focus grps enabled the sharing of knowledge and experience among institutions.

The meeting also addressed issues such as enhancing quality assurance in foreign language education, developing innovative teaching approaches, and strengthening academic collaboration among universities. It was announced that the next School of Foreign Languages Administrators Meeting will be held in 2027 at Abdullah Gül University.
