Hosted by Istanbul Nişantaşı University in collaboration with Haberler.com, the Future of Media: Digital Transformation, Artificial Intelligence, and Turkey Workshop brought together academics, industry representatives, and media professionals to discuss the digital transformation process in the media sector.

The workshop opened with keynote speeches by Istanbul Nişantaşı University Rector Prof. Dr. Ayşegül Komsuoğlu Çıtıpıtıoğlu, Dean of the Faculty of Art and Design Prof. Dr. Berrin Şahin Kalsın, and Haberler.com CEO Dr. Sümeyra Teymur. Their speeches addressed the impact of digital transformation on the media ecosystem, AI-supported content production, and evolving industry dynamics.

Throughout the workshop, various sessions explored the integration of media and technology from both sectoral and academic perspectives. In the Financial Sustainability of Digital Media session, traditional and digital media ventures were compared, analyzing economic dynamics in the industry. The Media Law and Digital Rights session examined the rights of content creators and the adequacy of existing legal regulations. The AI and Media Literacy session focused on the impact of AI-supported content production on the media sector, discussing the role of digital literacy and media tools in education. In the Content Production and Disinformation session, experts evaluated information security, ethical journalism principles, and the advantages and risks of AI-supported news production.

The workshop concluded with assessments on the future of the media sector and closing remarks. Participants were presented with certificates of appreciation, while Istanbul Nişantaşı University reaffirmed its commitment to fostering academic and sectoral collaborations in the media industry. It was also announced that the workshop report would be shared with the public in the coming days.
