The final event of the three-month implementation process of the Social Responsibility Project for Individuals with Disabilities, carried out under the supervision of Dr. Faculty Member Dilek Özsoy from the Department of Social Work at Istanbul Nişantaşı University, and conducted by third-year students Ayça Nur Genç, İlayda Gündüz, Merve Alaoğlu, Rabia Kara, Tuçe Çıtak, and Yaprak Yağmur Ortaç, was successfully held on December 18, 2025.

The event titled “Together Always in a World Beautified by Differences” aimed to enhance social interaction with disadvantaged individuals and strengthen social awareness.

Within the scope of the project, on October 18, 2025, between 11:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., 15 students diagnosed with intellectual disabilities from the Kağıthane Municipality Day Care Center for Individuals with Disabilities, along with their companions and instructors, were hosted at Istanbul Nişantaşı University Neotech Campus.

In the final stage of the three-month project, a 40-minute interactive session themed “Emotions” was conducted for the participating students. Fundamental emotions were addressed, and the processes of recognizing and expressing emotions were conveyed in a clear and simple manner. The session was supported by visual materials and interactive methods, and certificates of participation were presented at the end.

Throughout the event, participants showed willingness to express their emotions and actively engaged in social interaction. This process also provided an important learning opportunity for social work students to gain professional experience and develop practical skills.

The project was meaningfully completed by strengthening a culture of coexistence through diversity and demonstrating the inclusive, empowering, and human-centered approach of the social work discipline through practical implementation.
