Within the scope of the Handicrafts course of the Tourist Guiding Program, our students participated in a hands-on learning experience on the mother-of-pearl inlay art, one of the distinguished examples of traditional Turkish decorative arts.

The event was held at the workshop of master artisan Hilmi Emekli, who is well-known for his craftsmanship and long-standing dedication to this field, under the coordination of the course instructor Lecturer Dr. Hediye Gürsoy.

During the visit, our students had the opportunity to gain detailed knowledge about the historical development of the art, the natural materials used, pattern creation processes, and craftsmanship techniques. We would like to thank our master artisan for sharing his professional experience and years of expertise with our students in a sincere manner, as well as our students and instructor for their participation.
