The first session of the “In Pursuit of Light: Women Entrepreneurs” seminar series, held at Istanbul Nişantaşı University NeoTech Campus, concluded with inspiring discussions on women’s entrepreneurship and the chalenges faced in professional life. Aimed at providing students with a sectoral perspective on women entrepreneurs, the event featured four distinguished speakers who shared their knowledge and experiences.

Selen Erdeniz Kahramanoğlu, a Board Member of KAGİDER, discussed the vision of increasing women’s participation in the workforce and the chalenges they encounter, while highlighting the educational programs and projects offered by KAGİDER. Başak Baykan, CEO of Kiralarsın, shared her entrepreneurial journey, emphasizing her sustainability goals and the importance of data-driven strategies for market entry.

Nermin Taş, founder of The Nero Design, presented her projects transforming recycled glass into art and highlighted her efforts in maintaining a 100% female workforce. Associate Professor Gözde Mert, a faculty member at our university and founder of Gözde Research, explained how she integrates academic work with entrepreneurship and offered insights on key considerations for entrepreneurs, drawing from her own experiences. The event concluded with the presentation of flowers to the speakers.
