The “Zorluteks Home Textile Collection Selection” project, carried out within the scope of the Home Textile Design course of the Fashion Design Program, offered students an important experience by combining academic knowledge with industry dynamics. Throughout the fourteen-week course, students experienced a holistic design process including collection development, concept creation, and industrial production-oriented design decisions.

At the final stage of the course, Zorluteks, one of the leading companies in the home textile sector, visited the university and evaluated the student designs on site. This meeting provided students with the opportunity to present their work directly to industry professionals and receive professional feedback.

The main theme of the project was defined as “Silent Codes of Civilization.” Students reinterpreted forgotten Anatolian symbols and cultural motifs through a contemporary design language, creating original collections.

Following the jury evaluations, two bedroom sets were slcted for production, and successful students were awarded achievement plaques.

This project demonstrated the educational power of university–industry collaboration and became an important milestone and source of inspiration in the students’ professional journeys.
