In line with its vision of internationalization, Istanbul Nişantaşı University continues to strengthen the collaborations it has developed with respected higher education institutions around the world. Within the scope of the efforts coordinated by the Romania Office operating within our university, a comprehensive academic cooperation agreement was signed with the University of Bucharest, one of the most established and prestigious higher education institutions in Romania.

The agreement, signed by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Uğur Yozgat on behalf of Istanbul Nişantaşı University and Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Mugur Zlotea on behalf of the University of Bucharest, has elevated the long-standing cooperation between the two universities to a more comprehensive and institutional structure.

The Romanian language training previously conducted between the parties within the Istanbul Nişantaşı University Continuing Education Application and Research Center, as well as the official Romanian language certificate exams held in cooperation with the University of Bucharest, have now been carried over to the academic field with this newly signed agreement.

The agreement aims to implement student and academic staff exchange programs, joint scientific research, international congresses and conferences, joint academic publications, short-term training programs, visiting scholar activities, and joint projects across various disciplines.
With this collaboration, it is intended that the relationship between the two universities will not remain limited to language education, but will instead develop into long-term and sustainable partnerships in the fields of education, research, international academic mobility, and scientific production.

The signing ceremony was attended by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Mugur Zlotea and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages Assoc. Prof. Dr. Alexandru Nicolae on behalf of the University of Bucharest; and Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Uğur Yozgat, Director of the Continuing Education Application and Research Center Lect. Samet Yıldız, and Instructor Corina Baklavacı on behalf of Istanbul Nişantaşı University.
