A Strong Step in University-Industry Collaboration: Strategic Visit to Hema Endüstri

Istanbul Nişantaşı University paid a visit to Hema Endüstri, one of Türkiye’s leading industrial companies operating under Hattat Holding, with the aim of strengthening university-industry collaboration and developing project-based and production-oriented partnerships.

Representing Istanbul Nişantaşı University, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ece Salihoğlu and AR-GE Sector Office Directors Timuçin Bayram and İsmail Kasap attended the visit.

Located in the Çerkezköy Organized Industrial Zone and recognized as one of the region’s largest industrial production facilities, Hema Endüstri is among Türkiye’s prominent industrial enterprises with its high-tech manufacturing activities serving the automotive, tractor, construction machinery, and defense industries.

The meeting hosted by Hema Endüstri was attended by General Manager Eylem Çalışır, Deputy General Manager of Technical Units Ercan Ökmener, R&D Director Gökay Uymaz, and Marketing and Business Development Manager Tümer Adar.

Project and Production-Oriented Collaboration on the Agenda

During the meeting, which focused on a strategic project and production processes, both parties discussed combining Istanbul Nişantaşı University’s academic expertise with Hema Endüstri’s manufacturing capabilities. Potential R&D studies, product development processes, and long-term strategic cooperation opportunities related to the project were evaluated in detail.

Production Facilities Examined On-Site

Following the meeting, a factory tour covering Hema Endüstri’s advanced production lines and R&D facilities was conducted. The university delegation examined the technical infrastructure, industrial capacity, and investment opportunities that could contribute to the project’s implementation and received detailed information from company representatives.

The visit concluded with a mutual commitment to developing sustainable, innovative, and high value-added projects between Istanbul Nişantaşı University and Hema Endüstri. This step is expected to establish a solid foundation for future collaborative initiatives and strengthen university-industry cooperation.
